Swimming trophies
The swimming season is in full swing and the organisers should be thinking about what trophies and medallions are to be purchased by the successful participants in the clubs and district swimming. Olympia has a wonderful range of swimming medallions and trophies which can be engraved with the winners names. Swimming is both an individual and a team water sport. Participants compete in racesand the first swimmer to cover a predetermined distance is the winner. Competitions are held in four major categories of swimming stroke- freestyle swimming, breastroke swimming, butterfly swimming, and backstroke swimming. A 50metre pool is used for competitive swimming. Swimmers use starting blocks for all strokes except backstroke. Medley events in swimming are a test of the swimmers skills. Competitors swim an equal distance of four strokes the sequence is butterfly, backstroke, breastroke, and freestyle. In medley relays each swimmer swims one stroke for the set distance and the order is backstroke, breastroke, butterfly and freestyle. OLYMPIA has trophies and medals with ribbons to suit for all the competitions. Visit the website at www.olympia.com.au to view the selection
