Established in 1963 Olympia is an owned and operated third generation Aussie
business.
As we begin to explain About Us on this one page of our website we
realise this one page is not adequate if you were to take into account
the thousands of people who have touched our lives over the last
44 years both our customers and our employees. Perhaps a novel would
be more appropriate.
Since inception Olympia has sought to provide its customers with
excellent service and a quality product at a competitive price.
Our history has been interesting and varied. We established a niche
market servicing registered clubs, golf clubs and social clubs with
gifts to be used as prizes for tournaments and events. This led
to the creation of the “Trophy Room” where trophies were
assembled and engraved for presentations catering for over 80 different
sports. All this while still serving our regular gift customers
We still take pride in offering a diverse range of trophies and awards
to club customers and also to the corporate market where awards are
required for recognition of a job well done, retirement, safety records
and years of service.
Olympia in its history has had retail shops in centres around Sydney
and we are particularly fond of our relationship with our customers
in the Penrith area where we were established for over 15 years
The retail environment is forever changing and we are continually
endeavouring to adapt to the market forces .Our Head Office has always
been at Merrylands. We were situated at the corner of Pitt and Sheffield
Streets for 37 years. We are still in the area at Gladstone Street
just off Pitt Street.
Our showroom today is a beautiful display of gifts for special occasions
such as christenings, communion, wedding, engagement, retirement etc
together with a display of trophies and awards for that special event
We have an engraving and etching facility in house to personalise
your gift or award. Our ability to etch on glass and crystal has enabled
us to provide the recipient with a beautiful long lasting reminder
of an occasion.
